Internships
New England Equine Practice provides a 1 year internship program. Externships are also avaliable. Interested applicants are invited to apply either by mail or email.
Our current intern is Elizabeth MacDonald, BVMS, MRCVS.
Dr. MacDonald graduated from Skidmore College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. After graduation she joined New England Equine Practice as a technician in 2004. Upon her acceptance to the University of Glasgow Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 she moved to Scotland where she lived for the duration of the five year program. She graduated with honors in 2011 and became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. MacDonald enjoyed the travel opportunities and exploring new places while living in the UK. She has been riding horses since she was eight years old and played polo for the Skidmore club team. In her free time she enjoys riding and hiking.
