Critical care and management of the ill horse and foal is often performed more expediently in a hospitalized setting, particularly if horses require 24 hour observation, subsequent monitoring of laboratory parameters, advanced wound care, and/ or administration of medications at precise intervals. Workups requiring such procedures as thoracic ultrasonography and radiography, echocardiography and more involved diagnostic endoscopic procedures such as laparoscopy and gastroscopy also require hospitalization.
Preventive-Medicine
Preventive medicine helps to maintain the health of your horse and to identify potential illnesses before they become problematic. Our services include vaccinations, deworming, dental exams and physical examination. We schedule annual visits, at convenient times to you, to ensure your horse’s well being.
