Do you need a health certificate for your horse?

health certificates

Health Certificates (Certificates of Veterinary Inspection or CVI) are required for transporting horses across state lines. If you require a health certificate, please fill out the information to the right and Erin Yarochowicz will reach out to you.

Please note that an up-to-date, negative Coggins (Equine Infectious Anemia) test is required in order to obtain a health certificate. Some states require a test taken within the last 6 months, while others require one taken within the last year. Individual state requirements can be found here.

If you require a Coggins or are preparing for international travel, please call the office and ask for Erin Yarochowicz.

We are pleased to offer GlobalVet management of your Coggins and Health Certificates. If you are using GlobalVet, your paperwork will appear automatically on the HorseSync. You may also use that app to download the required photos for your paperwork.

Finally, please note that your horse must be seen by one of our veterinarians in order for a health certificate to be issued.
