Discharge is a conversation
We talk through the case at discharge with you and with the owner, so aftercare at home matches what happened at the hospital.

Board-certified radiologists read every advanced study. When a case needs an ophthalmologist, we consult one. Our clinicians are university-trained, and they are in the field as well as in the hospital, which means the specialist who reviews your case has also stood in a barn aisle with it.

Before you decide where a case goes, it helps to know what can be finished in one building. Equine surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, oncology, isolation, sports medicine, and 24-hour intensive care all sit inside the same 29,000-square-foot hospital in Patterson, New York, so a horse can be worked up, operated on, and recover without moving again.
Equine isolation & infectious disease
Fevers of unknown origin, the contagious diarrheas, strangles, and EHV, admitted and treated in a separate facility where each stall stands alone. Approved for USDA quarantine. Nothing is too big and nothing is too sick. If you have a horse you cannot safely keep on the property, call us.
Equine diagnostic imaging
Recumbent MRI, nuclear scintigraphy, digital radiography, ultrasound, standing and dynamic endoscopy, including a three and a half meter gastroscope. Board-certified radiologists read every advanced study.
Equine surgery
Colic surgery, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, laser surgery, fracture repair with LCP plating, cesarean section.
Equine emergency & ICU
Intensive care staffed overnight, with imaging and a surgical suite in the same building. Any horse can come in, referred or not.
Equine oncology
Electronic brachytherapy, injectable isotopes for solid tumors, immunotherapy, and surgical removal. If a mass has outrun what excision alone can do, there is more to offer.
Equine internal medicine & neurology
The cases that stay undiagnosed or come back after standard treatment. Neurology, neonatology, ophthalmology, pulmonology, gastric ulcers.
Equine sports medicine
Lameness that has outrun the field exam, with hospital imaging led by the findings. Performance at the highest level without risking longevity.
